I'm feeling such emotion as I sit this morning and watch the Olympics Opening ceremonies in Beijing on television. It's such an odd feeling knowing that in only a few weeks we will have our daughter in our arms and will be visiting this incredible city. I feel such pride for Logan as her home country puts on such a beautiful and creatively inspiring show. I can't wait to someday show the video to her...I think I'm also emotional because as the Canadian Olympic team walked in...I also felt such a sense of pride that we are bringing Logan to Canada to begin her new life with us. I feel so lucky that we live in such an incredible country...full of promise. I think I also feel emotional today watching the Opening Ceremonies because 12 years ago, I attended them at the 1996 Atlanta games...what an experience...an incredible experience mind you....overwhelming but inspiring at the same time. I can't stop my eyes from tearing up. Somehow I feel closer to Logan today than I have in a long time...it's like I'm looking right at where she is right now...even though she is thousands and thousands of miles away...
