Two weeks down-9 to go?

So it's been two weeks since we received our referral...and the time has flown by. Let's hope that is a good sign...I think we have about 9 more weeks to go until we can travel. Hopefully that will go by fast. Parker has his last day of JK on Tuesday...can't believe my little guy is going to be a Senior Kindergartener...where does the time go? I've been keeping busy this last week with buying up a storm for Logan...I officially don't need much more for her until we get her...maybe just a stroller and diapers and stuff...oh and a diaper backback for China...I'm afraid I'll just keep on buying and buying...but the clothes for little girls are hard to resist!
Looking at the rest of the summer...it's already filling up with activities and holidays at the cottage and such. So that is good news cause it will make the time fly until China... Can't wait to get our travel approval from China so our trip can be officially booked...looking forward to researching our hotels and the areas where we will be staying....

Introducing Logan Jin Yu Bin Melanson Cuperus

Yes, I know...she has a long name but it's a great name. Logan means "little hollow" in Mandarin but if you ask Ken, it's also Wolverine's name. (Much like Parker is named after Peter Parker aka Spiderman)...you gotta give guys a little something every once in awhile and I've given my dear husband naming our children after super heroes...and I happen to absolutely love both names.
So back to Logan's name...Jin Yu Bin is the name she was given at the orphanage. Jin coming from the area she is from and Yu Bin meaning beautiful and refined...well of course she is.
Here are the pictures we have of her so far and also pictures of the old SWI in Guiping where she was found and the new SWI in Guiping where she currently lives.
Her birthday is October 2, 2007...and we hope to travel to get her by end of August...it's so exciting. Parker thinks she is cute but also wonders if we will love her more than him...I guess that is normal.

We're on our Way

We'll we are on our way...after much waiting...to get our beautiful daughter Logan from China...We received our referral via phone from our agency last Monday evening being June 9th...we then got the translated documents and her pictures on Friday the 13th...lucky Friday the 13th for us! She is so beautiful in her pictures it's crazy...she is the most gorgeous little girl I have ever seen. I actually think she looks like me! We sent her medical records to the Doctor recommended to us and then set up a meeting for Tuesday with our Social Worker...yesterday we signed off on all the paperwork and dropped it off at the agency...now we wait for travel approval and for our trip to be booked...so exciting!
